Boppin’ Babies is a BRAND NEW and fun program for children 9 months up to the age of 2 years and their parents/caregivers, that focuses on music and movement. The gender-neutral curriculum is specifically designed to increase children’s socialization skills, provide structure and consistency, and cultivate independence.
Parent/Tot Creative Movement: Music, movement, balance and the basic dance steps are introduced in a fun, friendly and positive manner. This type of class includes mom or dad or another loved one participating in the class along with the little dancer. Our teachers will keep the music and curriculum moving along while parents take an active role in encouraging, supporting, and keeping the little dancer on track.

Designed for toddlers to enhance gross motor coordination and listening skills through music, props, and dance.
A Ballet class designed to enhance gross motor development, listening skills, musicality, and nurture the creative spirit.
A Tap class designed to enhance gross motor development, listening skills, musicality, and nurture the creative spirit.
This high energy, fast paced class will help some of our youngest dancers explore the style of jazz dance! Jazz class incorporates a warm up, isolations, stretches, and across the floor progressions. This class is for dancers who like precision and rhythm, physical challenges, and personal style and expression. Dancers will begin to learn the basics of jazz technique and a variety of beginning jumps, leaps, and turns!
Introduces the young dancer to the steps and grace of Ballet.
Introduces the young dancer to the rhythm and sequences of Tap.
Introduces kids to the world of leaps and turns.
Bounce along to the beat in this introductory hip hop class for kids.
Common moves performed in AcroDance include somersaults, cartwheels, limbers, walkovers, etc.
Chara’s Studio training track starts at age 7 with Level I. Thereafter level progression is determined by skill based evaluations in the spring.
If you are NEW to Chara, are over the age of 9, and come with previous dance experience, please fill out THIS FORM for our School Director to help determine the next steps for placement for your dancer.
The first step into Studio Track dance starts at the age of 7 (no evaluation needed) in Ballet I. Dancers will be evaluated during class in the spring and either invited to examine for the next level or (more likely) directed to continue at this level for another year. Ballet Classes Level II and up are taught based on our studio curriculum to fit the developmental, technical, and strength level required of this ballet level. At this level dancers will have class twice per week with their class to further develop their skills.
Jazz I introduces young dancers to Jazz technique and combinations. Jazz classes Level II and up are taught based on our school curriculum to fit the developmental, technical, and strength level required of this level.
Must be enrolled in Ballet I or higher. Dancers will explore multiple styles of expressive dance that combine elements from genres including modern, jazz, lyrical, and classical ballet.
Introduces young dancers to Tap technique and combinations. Tap II+ dancers learn more intricate sequences giving them greater confidence and making them more eligible for musical theatre rolls.
It is a high-energy dance style that incorporates various elements of street dance, such as breaking, locking, and popping. Hip Hop dance is not only a great way to stay active and improve your physical fitness, but it also has numerous other benefits. It helps improve coordination, balance, and flexibility, which can be useful in everyday life. Additionally, Hip Hop dance can be an excellent stress reliever, as it allows you to channel your emotions and express yourself creatively.
Acro is the beautiful fusion of classic dance technique and the precision and athleticism of acrobatic elements. Often defined by unique choreography, acro dancers seamlessly blend musicality, emotional expression, line and extension with acrobatic movements in a dance context.
Drill Team Technique I: This class is for the intermediate level dancer who has intentions of auditioning for their high school dance/drill team. This class will go over a variety of skills and exercises to help the dancer improve their pom motion technique, kick line technique, and various leaps and turns required of our dancers who plan to audition for area high school dance/drill teams. Dancers will also execute many exercises to help them develop their flexibility, balance, coordination, agility, and strength. This class is for dancers in 6th through 12th grade.
Drill Team Technique II: This class is for the advanced level dancer who has intentions of auditioning for their high school or college dance/drill team and/or has already made their high school dance/drill team and is looking to further their training and preparation for ensemble and/or officer auditions.The dancers will continue to improve their pom motion, technique, kick line technique, and various leaps and turns required of the advanced level drill team dancer. Dancers must level into this class through a skill evaluation or actively be on their high school Drill Team.
